    COMMITTEE INVOLVEMENT IS FOR CHAMBER MEMBERS ONLY
    As a Chamber member, you are encouraged to become involved in YOUR Chamber and YOUR community!  One of the best ways to do that is by serving on a Chamber council or committee.  You will make a difference, but you will also make new friends and new business contacts!

    CHAMBER COUNCILS

    BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL | Vice Chair: Penny Groux
    Mission: To foster cooperation and progress among the Chamber, BCEDA, City of Gulf Shores and City of Orange Beach on economic development activities.

    CIVIC & GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS COUNCIL | Vice Chair: Charles Weber
    Mission: To serve as a proactive advocate for the business community and members on issues, obstacles and strategies regarding civic and governmental affairs.

    CONSERVATION & NATURAL RESOURCES COUNCIL | Vice Chair: Taylor Norton
    Mission: To preserve and enhance the natural resources of Coastal Alabama through education and communication.

    EDUCATIONAL AFFAIRS COUNCIL | Vice Chair: Dr. Ernie Rosado
    Mission: To position the Chamber to excel in its role as champions of education.

    FINANCE COUNCIL | 
    Vice Chair: Kevin McCarron
    Mission: To ensure the availability of capital resources.

    MARINE TRADES COUNCIL | Vice Chair: Tom Steber
    Mission: To protect the Marine Trades Industry on the Alabama Gulf Coast.

    MEMBERSHIP COUNCIL | 
    Vice Chair: Matt Grant
    Mission: To encourage, strengthen, and retain membership.

    SMALL BUSINESS COUNCIL | Vice Chair: Brent Sexton
    Mission: To provide leadership and counseling to area retailers and businesses to help increase stability and growth.

    TOURISM & SPECIAL EVENTS COUNCIL | Vice Chair: Rod Peevy
    Mission: To produce events encouraging tourism.

    OTHER ACTIVITIES:

    ANNUAL NATIONAL SHRIMP FESTIVAL | Vice Chair: Spencer Cade

    CHAMBER AMBASSADORS COMMITTEE | 
    Chairman: Brandi Ingram
    The Ambassadors are just what their name implies!  They represent our Chamber and serve as critical links between the Chamber and its members.  They participate at ribbon-cuttings, ground-breakings,  assist at Chamber events such as Business After Hours and First Friday Forum and work on our membership drive.  If you are interested in serving in this area, please call Sharon Wiese at the Chamber at  251.968.4237

    CHAMBER DIPLOMATS | Chairman: Doug Ingram
    Our Diplomats are our new membership outreach program, designed to put new members in touch with one-on-one peer relationships for the purpose of networking and building business relationships.     ISLAND SPIRIT COMMITTEE | 
    Chairman: Penny Groux
